using dither to avoid -9128 errors

if i use just a few plugins i get -9128 errors. digi tech support told me to place a dither plug on the top insert, above all my plugs to fix the problem. so i always have to have all these dither plugs on each track(and aux tracks)as well as a power dither on the master fader as the last plug. although this does make the 9128 go away now i have all these dithers going on all at once. is this ok to have??

sounds like you're getting the errors due to a plug that encounters quantization errors. you only need to put the dither plug before the instances of the offending plugin, you shouldn't need them anywhere else.

and the chances are that D-Verb is the offending plug.
