Car Wash....be carefull !!

Took the V70 to the local car wash the other day. Don't normally, but this one has soft brushes that doesn't scratch the paintwork............rips the petrol cap cover clean off though!!:angry2: Went to my local Volvo dealers and got a new hinge to replace the broken one on the cover. Tried to put it on, very fiddly, eventually did it and found I'd put it on the wrong way! :hissyfit: Back to dealers to get another as I had to break it to get it off. After wasting 2 hours, the moral of this tale is be carefull in car washes. Cheers, Tony

Moral of the story is not to be so lazy and do it properly yourself!!! :D The only car washes that are safe are those where you get out of the car and do it yourself with a hose, or ones full of Polish people who clean the car for you whilst you read The Times ;)

Clean it with a hose.....with the water shortage!!!

Plenty of water from a hose to soften the muck, then a good shampoo with clean water for the top half, new water and shampoo and new sponge for the bottom half then copious amounts of water from a hose to rinse it all down followed by a proper paste polish. What water shortage, maybe its just where I am. Chris
