Some of these files are now getting so big that it would really be worth redoing them. Although you can use ReMpeg to change the size, I haven't found a way to remux the m2v file and then adjust the cell data - Vobedit will do the remux but doesn't seem (sorry if it is obvious) to have a facility to pick up the ifo file to correct the cells, and ifoedit hasn't the option to Remux the menu vob. You can strip out the vobs and use CCE and then rejoin them but you still have the same problem, and often there are loads of small vobs to sort out. If you only have 2 or 3 vob-ids making up the file you can figure out the new cell data and manually change it but that's a really pain for the sake of saving 200 or 300 Mb. Can anybody let me know if there is an easy method that I'm missing.

You're right, VobEdit doesn't touch the IFO files. But it should work anyway. I just checked my source code. Just remux the transcoded parts with VobEdit, like you already did. Then load the IFO file with IfoEdit and hit 'Menu Extras'. Make sure these Options are checked: -Correct VobUnit pointers -Correct IFO tables Then everything should work just fine.
I'll try that but I'm sure that I have already and the timings and buttons appeared at the wrong time. I think that it is the cell info that needs correcting and ifoedit doesn't seem to do that. I suppose the problem is a bit like when you encode using CCE then need to correct the cells using ifoupdate. On a similar but slightly different matter I had a file consisting of 100 vob-ids (it was a Disney storyline with various alternative options) and I used ReMpeg to produce a smaller m2v file but when I used ifoedit to remux it I got an error about Time Map missing and although it completed, the timings in the file are all wrong and then menus pause in the wrong place etc. Is this a known limitation?
I've just tried it again on a menu vob and it doesn't alter it correctly and the highlight buttons and menu graphics go out of sync. If anybody else has managed it I would be interested to hear.
Hi, I am also facing this problem.I got .mev of mine VTS_01_0.vob,remux with vobedit,Use ifoedit as derrow describe above. But it does not work.Buttons are not working at all. Derrow can u solve this, or anyone has managed to do this thing perfectly please post comments here. Knowledge is for share. Best, Dvd@Best
