Reaper and Boss Dr. Rhythm...

MessageAuthor

is getting a little old for me. I want to be able to have all of the drums on different tracks. I've looked at EZ Drummer, but it asks for 1.8 ghz cpu and I'm at 1.7 on my laptop, with no new purchase anytime soon. Would I be alright??? I have looked at Jamstix and Addictive Drums, but they both ask for even faster cpus. Any thoughts or advice? I appreciate all of the help I've received the past couple years. peace

Check out the requirements for E-Phonics Drumatic (pending on what style of music you are doing).

Hi, if you need the sounds of the Dr.Rhythm on separate tracks, you can play back the MIDI drumtrack instrument after instrument and record the audio output of the drummie on separate tracks. hth Blechi

Just make a time selection and do 'Insert'->'New MIDI item' to insert a new empty MIDI item (surprise!) to open in the ME. 1.7 GHz doesn't say everything about a CPU's performance. If you have a P4 (not a Celeron or similar low-cost stuff), it might work. You will have to bounce the drums pretty soon probably (if you want to use more plugins) and you won't be able to add more plugins though, so even if it works it won't be fun.

Thanks Steindork, although I'm not sure this answers my question. My ignorance. I'm going to start another thread, perhaps in newbies. peace
