poor running and hot smell 480

Hot smell coming from exhaust area and slightly rough running and poor idle. What would cause this? Thanks, Matt.

Hi Matt, Here goes with a real obviouso, but what the hell. My 480's been laid up longer than anticipated ... thanks to loaning a brand new battery ( from it ) which I never got back. After 4 months or so it wouldn't start: dead fuel. The recovery guy who came out to help ( I got stuck outside a 'don't park there' house in the estate ) said that the vacuum gauge might be faulty too. The car eventually seems to flood when I leave it running since, and conks. Just a couple of thoughts. Good luck with it! Anthony.
