Symphony Orchestra piece...

Thought for laughs I'd put up something a bit "different". Here's my spoof at virtual orchestra. It's a piece I wrote, titled "Lone Voyager". It is performed and recorded entirely within Reaper using only Reaper plug ins except for the VSTi symphony orchestra and drum samples. (There is live Fender Strat and Fender bass...all else is MIDI) Before listening, please keep in mind this is a soundtrack to a seafaring video, so in the sections where there is not much music happening there is a lot of voice-over. So there are places where it doesn't make musical sense in order to stay out of the way of the dialog. The only other music on this page (so far) is a piece I wrote and "attempted" to play in the Chet Atkins style. Forgive me Chet... I'll be adding more orchestrations in various genre's as I finish them. Reaper RULES! >> Enjoy!...the JSO

Maybe it is me, but the verb on the drums is too much. I can hear that slab back of the kick and findit disorienting. Perhaps high pass the verb or split it out. When I have done arrangements like this, i tend to keep the drums and bass a bit drier to maintain clarity.... maybe only push the snare into the verb hard for room coherance. Also, the guitar doesn't sound like it is in the same room with everything else. My 2 cents.
