Actually, Apple is claiming that all apps will function the same as they do in OS 9 in the "classic" mode of OS X (1 of 3 modes in OS X, the others being "carbon" which boasts the new features such as protected memory and preemptive multitasking, and "cocoa", an object-oriented programming enviroment). Although there is sure to be gliches, all "non-carbonized" apps should run in "classic".
