Hi As i say i proved the new implementation for DVD2SVCD (RoBa option) and it works very good, in the past i had problems following the Robshot guide because i misunderstood some step and my files were buggy but when i used this brand new option in DVD2SVCD 1.1. problems dissapeared. I have a mpv--m2v file ready to process on DVDMAESTRO. I follow all the TRILIGHT guide and for the encoding step i use DVD2SVCD 1.1. with all this modifications reccomended by DVD2SVCD: 1. In the misc. tab select DVD2SVCD Level = Advanced 2. In the CD Image tab select "Don't make images" 3. In the bbMPEG tab under Advanced Settings DoubleClick on MPEG2 (not dvd, as bbmpeg wont create dvd compliant streams) 4. In the CCE tab under Advanced Settings Select "Close all GOPs" 5. In the bitrate tab change the cd sizes to 1024. Set the max. bitrate to 6500 and min to 2000 and max. avg to 6000 6. In the frameserver tab select resize to "DVD 720*480/576" or "CVD 352*480/576" 7. In the audio tab select "Do Not Convert Audio" 8. In the DVD2AVI tab set Luminance Gain to 5 I am however a bit unsure on pt. 5 ***(this point depends onto your movie, your DVD size with extras, etc and bitratecalculator)*** Then i import my ac3 and m2v file to maestro and finish the guide process, the audio and video are on sync BUT when i want to include SUBS i have two new problems and would like you to help me: 1.- ALL THE SUBS ARE ACCOMPANIED BY A BLACK SCREEN BEHIND THAT OF COURSE IS OVER MY VIDEO EVERY TIME THEY APPEAR, I THINK IT'S A MISTAKE ON SUBRIP OR MAESTRO CONFIG, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT BECAUSE I FOLLOW THE GUIDE STEP BY STEP. 2.- THE SUBS ARE OUT OF SYNC WITH THE AUDIO, WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO, I THINK IT COULD BE THE 2 STREAMS TRICK ON MAESTRO, I DIDN'T DO IT BECAUSE I PROCESSED THE VIDEO FROM DVD2SVCD BUT I'VE READ SOME PEOPLE DON'T FOLLOW THIS TRICK AND THE SUBS ARE ON SYNC, WHAT COULD IT BE? THANK YOU.

As for 1) take a look at my revised guide at I've included some more info and also adjusted it for the new SubRip which writes directly to SON format! The reason you are getting a black screen is because of the contrast settings. Download the new SubRip and follow the new guide and it will make this process a LOT easier for you. As for 2) I can't say for sure why some would have had a problem and others not. Perhaps they are not using Maestro and the reaction is different. I always create both of the video files, just as I listed in the guide, and have never had a problem. As I mentioned, you MUST NOT import the subtitles without the drop-frame clip being on the timeline. They will be wrong.

Finally the answers appeared, thanks you all interested. 1.- Following the guide for subrip 1.2 everything is fine, no more black screens. 2.- Setting time to 0 on wall clock, third row, all the subs are imported.
