Flame trap question

Hi all What / where is the flame trap on a B230? Having never replaced one I would presume that it has something to do with the engine breathing system? - What symptoms are evident when it goes wrong? Thanks Scott.

Hi, From my understanding it is the filter-like plastic thing in the crank case vent system.. Needs to be cleaned out semi-regularly to stop oil pressure building. It filters out the oil from the crank case in this breather system.. Hence it usualy ends up gunked up with old burnt oil... Des. . . ;)

Just curious, what happens when it gets blocked up? running problems, idle etc???
