PCI Bus Error Message with OSX

In my first session with OSX, I had the error message "PCI bus too busy to communicate with digidesign hardware" while attempting to record only 3 tracks simultaneously. I'm running HD2 on a G4 933 mhz, OS 10.2.4 with 1.25 gb RAM. Also installed is an Igniter card with OSX compatible drivers. The system worked flawlessly over the past year in 9.2.2. The only thing different now is the operating system. Anyone have the same problem?

We had the return of the dreaded -6042 (pci bus) error as well with PT's 6. I ended up attributing it to our old (and now unsupported) Bit 3-7 slot expansion chasis. Digitest wouldn't run with it and Apples system profiler would crash whenever our D24 card was installed in it. Hence, we're eagerly awaiting our Dual 1.25 Ghz G4 so we can abandon the Expansion chasis all together. Tim

I"m having white noise problems on PTLE systems and it seems to be related to my ATTO PCIExpress card. Digi wants me to flash the firmware, but I'm stable with everything except PT, so I'm not crazy about that idea. Maybe PT6 is cantankerous with SCSI...

Hello, Regarding the 6042 errors. What SCSI card are you running? We recommend installing the ATTO configuration Tool for supported ATTO cards. The installer can be found on the Pro Tools 6.0 CD along with the firmware updaters for the cards. After installing the config tool make sure your card is setup correctly for your system.
