I want to buy one of the new Mac's, but I can't believe that even still, Digi has not approved them. I'm talking about the single 1ghz, the DP 1.25, and the 1.42. With Apple promoting Digi stuff at NAMM etc, you'd think they'd wait until the stuff worked. I really think that the 001 is now a thorn in Digi's side. They want everyone to buy the 002, but it's twice as much money. I wish they'd offer some kind of FW interface but without the mixer. I think I'm going to have to just buy a used Quicksilver so I can boot to OS9. Sounds like PT6 is buggy as hell (shock). Jason
I bought a brand new Power Mac 1.25 ghz and a 001 2 weeks ago an dit works flawlessly. I think Digi just sucks at approving new systems. Check out this thread for more info:
Good deal because there is no way I'd want to deal w/ the init hang issue. I'm hopefull that Apple has corrected the problem. I understand what you're saying Digi. I wasn't "really" bashing you.. it's just with all the problems w/ the MDD's, and the new machines not being qualified yet.. led me to think that we could encounter even more problems. We'll see. Hope not! Jason
Huh? Those new Mac's have been out since Jan. I think. You can go to any Apple store right now and buy one. Granted... PT6 is still new, so a break on that is warranted. Jason
To top it off, Apple has been delayed getting out the new BTOs, due to a backlog on Superdrives. I ordered mine (1.25 dual) on Feb. 7th, and probably will be waiting another week. So, give Digi some slack. Apple also caused the delay with PT6 due to the 10.2.3 update. Sounds like those new Macs are much quieter, and seem to be working quite well. jh
