Cannot append segment: The segment has a different number of streams

first the problem was that the framerates were different... that was solved by changing the framerates in vdub and making a new huffyuv avi. now i get the above error...that the number of streams is different. where can i find info on how many streams each avi has and how to change them? will a program like AVI-Mux GUI help me out?

jggimi, it sounds like you're right, i believe one of them may not have an audio stream. and nicely explains the error message i've been receiving.
