hi all, i`d like to set up reaper so that i can record punch in and then out with only one key ... toggling recording with one key, so to say ... it`s a waste that one can`t assign the same key multiple times ... or is that possible and again i just don`t see it? thanks in advance! :)

RE: how to record punch in and out with only one key?
You can easily do it with AHK. Do you want an AHK program to do just that? On a related note, I noticed a guy asking how to do this with a pedal. You buy a programmable footpedal from P.I. Engineering and program it with the hotkeys you want. It can perform one function on pedal down and another on pedal up, and it's really easy to set it up.

Note: I'm at work, so I can't confirm that this works, but I could swear I did it the other day. 1. Bind Transport:Record to whatever key you want. I like "R" myself. 2. Hit Play. 3. Press R when you want to punch in, and again when you want out.

Press R when you want to punch in, and again when you want out. If that doesn't do it, my next suggestion would be binding a key to arm the selected track(s), hitting record, and arming/disarming when you need to punch. There's an option to allow recording with nothing armed that you'll have to check/uncheck, I forget which way it's worded.
