dump valve/pressure loss

:hissyfit: i have just fitted a external dump valve and blanked off the original one on my s40 t4 but ive seemed to have loss most of the pressure im now running at .5-.7psi as before i was running at 14psi does anyone have any answers:hissyfit:

Sounds like the valve is set far too loose, resulting in a massive air leak. It should be adjustable..

are all dump valves adjustable...i have the bailey twin piston but cant see any obvious way of adjusting it??...or do i need to buy replacement strength springs?.

I Had Same Prob Had To Go Through 5 Dv's Before I Found One That Worked Then Was Told I Could Of Just Changed The Spring Lol

The Bailey twin piston DV26 can handle up to 60psi of possitive pressure so I would guess thats enough for you. I run 12psi through mine with no probs. I would say it's the blanking plate. I put high temp sealant on mine to prevent it leaking.

i have this problem went from 14 psi straight down to 10 psi gonna try sealing the blank plate nice tip cheers

scraped the blank plate i had and went for a forge one from parts for volvos on line she now boosts as she should :Banane59:

I've got a forge one too. I didn't realise there was any other makes. Guess i was lucky as i thought i only had one option. LOL
