002 headphone jack

anyone have any idea why the right side only of my headphone jack is working on my new 002 , i have tried 3 sets of headphones the right side only works. is there something i'm missing? i have been using Mbox 6.4 previously for almost 4 yrs. thanx for any help tym 7.1.1 mac intel 2.16 , 2GB

Are you getting L/R output from your main outs? If you are it sounds like a problem with the hardware. I'm not aware of any settings that would disable the left channel on the headphone outs only. They should always mirror the main outs. Sounds dumb but make sure the jack is pushed all the way in (requires a bit of force) so you don't get the half-insert effect..

My 002R's headphone jack broke after a year. It's just glued to the chassis, not bolted on like it ought to be. It's a cheap repair, though.

checked everything again. tried all the dumb stuff. got a new set of phones and lo and behold the new phones worked. thanx so much for the responses. tymcornell
