Tempo-time-stretch whole project?

Hi there, Searched the forum, didn't find an answer. I was wondering if you can make the whole project being time-stretched somehow by setting the original tempo to a slower or faster tempo? Right now, when I try that, the project just stays at the same tempo while just the grid changes. I want to have the project parts stick and time-stretch when changing the tempo. Is this possible? -- TS

Yeah I have the same problem but what you can do is use the tempo map envelope. You'll have to right click in the track view and select "show master track" and then on the master track press the automation button and then select tempo map. Now you can adjust the tempo map and it will change the tempo of the whole song.

Go to tranport, right click on the playrate slider and check preserve in pitch audio items when changing master playrate. Also on your project settting (alt-enter) set time base to beats(position,legnth,rate). Then set your bpm accordingly and it'll time stretch.

I've used the technique described in my post at the link below to vary the tempo of a section of a song. I think it should work for a whole song as well. Pete
