The preferences dialog really should be resized or at least resizeable. I want to see all Categories on the left without having to scroll. With this much granularity, you have 2b able 2 see it at a glance. When searching for a pref, the Category list auto-scrolls, but that's not the same as being able to browse. Reaper's Preferences dialog box has always been a thing of beauty. Why hide it inside a scrolling window? What would suck is if the actual options display required scrolling. It would make the thing much harder to read and learn... have I seen it all?... did I see this already...? does this one scroll...? Microsoft Office 2007 is guilty of this big time.) None of the options pages do that (at least not yet.) But... wouldn't the Theme editor be a lot more inviting and get more use if you weren't looking thru a peephole? The Actions List is resizeable and totally rocks for it. Down w tiny unresizeable scrolling dialogs!!
When the track names in MCP are positioned in the middle of the strip, above the fader, they can be difficult to scan quickly if strip heights have been adjusted. Being able to position them on the bottom. Wasn't that an option in 3?
