is it normal that the mouse cursor changes to this very thin text cursor over the arrange area? It is barely visible with my tweaked Imperial theme. Can the mouse cursor's shape or colour be changed in the theme editor? I didn't find any option for this. .
RE: mouse cursor visibility issue with Imperial theme
unfortunately i think it is normal for the cursor to change to a line when it is over an empty part of the arrange window - it happens on every theme i've tried, at least.

RE: mouse cursor visibility issue with Imperial theme
thanks for your confirmation, domzy! It seams to be especially bad with my choice of light grey for the background. I just filed a feature request to add an option to change the form and/or colour of the mouse cursor over that area. .

RE: mouse cursor visibility issue with Imperial theme
thanks for the tip, solger! I figured out that one needs to copy the Windows system cursor "beam_i.cur" into the Reaper resource's \Cursors\ sub-folder and re-name the file to "arrange_ibeam.cur". I then edited it to my liking. I used Greenfish Icon Editor Portable for editing. Reaper loads the new cursor after a re-launch. A lot less hassle to be able to spot the mouse cursor while working in the arrange view now! Folks can download my cursor file . .
RE: mouse cursor visibility issue with Imperial theme
Awesome! Thank you , I've been looking for a solution to this for a while. I downloaded the little program to draw a circle around your cursor with the [Ctrl] key, but that was still klunky. This looks perfect. Thanks again.
RE: mouse cursor visibility issue with Imperial theme
you're welcome, jfog. Glad it works for you! I've actually just uploaded a slightly edited version of the ibeam cursor offering a little bit more contrast (=visibility) above brighter areas (see link in my previous post). .

Oldish thread, but I just want to thank SonicAxiom for figuring this out and providing that cursor file. This was driving me nuts for a long time and now it's fixed.
