Folder for saving backups and undo

Advertising

MessageAuthor

In Reaper Preferences/Project, I've chosen to save a timestamped project backup and undo file in a specific directory (the last three options.) This works great and I've used those backups any number of times. But might it make more sense to at least optionally make this a project setting rather than a global? Or to make global setting more project-friendly? For example.... Because the dir I've specified is under the main Project folder... R:\Projects\ProjectName1\rpp-bak ....you can see the problem. I could specify a global location for these. But I'd rather have more control over how I organize my projects. Would be nice if the folder for these files could be specified as a relative path, similar to how the Project Settings dialog works when specifying a path for saved media files. Not a big deal, but it's a nonintuitive inconsistency in what is other\wise a fab backup/undo/archival system.
