V50 2.0D Buying used...

Variable vein turbo replaced twice, now having the same problems although the car has coverred 90,000 hard miles in two years. Turbo seems to fail climbing hills in third, info light comes on on dash, various fault codes in ecm regarding low and high boost pressure. Has anyone else experienced similar on 2.0l turbo diesel 2005 reg on? Am i right i thinking this is a ford diesel engine, I'm not sure? When first turbo went engine nearly revved to destruction on oil from turbo and shook flywheel loose...
