Why not a D5?

"In 1959, we had 50 disks, each 24" in diameter, continuously spinning at a speed of 1200RPM, capable of storing 6MB of data (a staggering 12MB if your company opted for the double-capacity versions). The size of this thing? 400-sq ft space required,

I have a D5 which has plenty of go with the torque and average 43mpg. Very pleased with it and would recommend a D5.

Craig, How do you drive? (e.g. do you cruise or do you enjoy using the car to it's potential) Where do you drive (i.e. what type of roads) Does the age and milage of the car worry you? The D5 is the best all-rounder in the range but because of that it's residually quite strong, if cost is your prime concern you to need to weigh carefully the extra money you will spend buying a D5 over e.g. a 2.0T. For me it would be the T5, but I'm a bit addicted to that 5cyl turbo yowl ;) Without a bit more info it's hard to recommend a car but the D5 is the smart mainstream choice and the T5 will always have it's place as a well respected performance bargain. Cheers, John
