I am attempting to use my Axiom 25 in Reaper, and most of it is working fine. Mind you, I am a MIDI virgin, so be gentle. I have the transport controls working beautifully. I want to set my knobs to control track volumes, and have managed to set E1-E8 to do just that. However, the control is a bit wonky. Any ideas on how to properly program the midi controller to send a bit finer grain of control? For example, as I turn the knob, I want the volume to smoothly go up and down, and not jump as it is doing now. Thank you, -myk

I tried editing the curve setting on the axiom and can't seem to get it right no matter what I choose. If you don't mind, when you get a chance please post your curve setting and control assignment for the axiom knob, as well as the configuration in Reaper. Thanks
First, which version of the Axiom 25 do you have? I have the original, not the latest version. I don't have one particular setting I use on the Axiom or in Reaper, but I can reliably get single step increments/decrements from the knobs using curves 0, 1, and 2 on the Axiom. The higher the curve, the slower you have to turn the knob to get a single step. Curve 0 should ALWAYS give single steps, so it might be best to start with that one. When you do MIDI learn in Reaper, if you want to use one of the relative modes, here is how they map to the CC choices on the Axiom: Reaper Relative 1 (7f=-1, 01=+1) ==> Axiom MIDI CC 147 Reaper Relative 2 (3f=-1, 41=+1) ==> Axiom MIDI CC 146 Reaper Relative 3 (41=-1, 01=+1) ==> Axiom MIDI CC 149 Or you can use Reaper's absolute mode to have Reaper use the same value that the Axiom knob outputs.

I have the latest Axiom. My old one crapped out and I was able to exchange it since I recently bought it. I will set the curve to 0. If I understand your final comment, I need to assign, for example, CC 147, 146, or 149 to the knob and use the corresponding Reaper setting? I appreciate you working with me on this, as I stated, I am very much a MIDI virgin. thanks, -myk
