dvd_maniac: I bought 50 2x from Meritline. I have a Pioneer 104 ver 1.32. They do not work well. Maybe 1 out of 5 plays all the way through. Tried burning at 1x and 2x. Tried upgrading firmware to 1.33. Nothing works. I'm very upset because Meritline's 1x disks (dark purple) have always worked great for me. Did you ever end up trying any of the 2x?

I have had some success with those disc. However I have made quite a few coasters. seems the only thing that works is if I use img files and burn @ 1x. tried to order some of the Ritek 2x but was unsuccessful (SOLD OUT) now I just use the Ritek Or the more expensive disc (when they go on SALE) hope this helps be care of the meritline generics. I have a lot of problems. about $100.00 worth of problems.
