When registering EZ drummer in reaper project shuts down

My ezdrummer ran fine on my studio computer. But it came pre installrd in Sonar. Maybe you have to buy Sonar to run it in Reaper :)

I've been running Vista since last year and just got EZD. No problems here. I don't remember exactly how I registered mine. I think when I first fired it up, it requested the registration code. I put it in and went on from there. I wonder if you have to have the EZD .dll file within Reaper for the settings to be remembered. Don't really know for sure if I had to do that monkeying around or not....its been a while. cliff

EZ Drummer runs great, that is not the problem at least with me. It's just that it crashes to the desktop right after authorizing it. After that everything runs just fine. Lots of people that use Reaper also use EZ Drummer so you don't have to use just Sonar to use EZ Drummer.

I had a problem like this too - but then I'm running Reaper 2.3 something so I'm a bit behind. As a workaround, you may want to try something like 'savihost' (it's free I believe, google it) which is designed to run a vsti without using your actual daw. Savihost might allow you to at least get your auth code in and then you'll be fine in Reaper. (In my case I have Acid Music Studio 7 so I used that to authorize.)
