I'm trying to put EZ drummer in my new laptop and when I register the product it says thank you and immediately shuts down reaper and upon reopening it asks to be registered again...The laptop comes with vista and suggestions?

Make reaper run as administrator and EZdrummer as well. i had some issues with my soundcard and it was stuck in some basic settings. I could change them and then after i saved it it was still crooked. When i changed the setting for reaper it worked. Rightclick on reaper in programfiles/reaper to access those settings.

I have a very similar issue. When I enter in the Authorization Code for EZ Drummer and hit OK it says the product has been successfully authorized, but then it shuts down and goes right to the desktop. Happens every time. And I enter the code while in a self-made Administrator account. Don't know if it would make a difference if I entered the code while in the Windows default Administrator account.

I'm not familiar with EZD... does it run in 'stand alone' mode (where you don't have to load it into Reaper)? Some of my VSTis had to be registered that way.

What do you mean Right-click on Reaper in Program Files? I just did and I didn't see any thing special on the menu that deals with settings or Administrator.

Thanks Bastiaan, and all the rest of you who came by......I can't tell you for sure how I got it cause it took me 'round 6 hrs of hit and miss trials and reinstalling my EZ drummer several times and to different files and well you get the pix...Glory to God for small favors!

What i ment with the administrator stuff: Go to \program files\reaper and right-click on the file reaper.exe click on the tab "compatibility" (or something simular because my Vista is in Dutch) and choose "run this program as administrator". Then you dont have to choose accounts of any sort...;-) I noticed that that is a good way to install programs that dont install right on Vista. Dunno the security implications though...
