Ok Apple replaced my beautiful MDD G4 1Ghz with a wonderful and silent G5 1.6Ghz running 10.3. Now before the exchange I had fininshed my audio work for a DVD I was authoring so I hadn't gotten around to setting up ProTools on the new system until a client called and asked for an updated track to a narration bit I did a few months ago. Problem is while ProTools installs and the MBox is hooked up I keep getting a kernal panic each and every time I start ProTools. I know Digi is working on G5 compatability, but has anyone found a way to even make this hardware work together enough for me to just lay down a 2 minute audio track?! I'd use my G3 Powerbook, but the AC/Audio Board crapped out on me last week so I have no way of getting it power until the replacement part arrives next week, of course by then it might be too late
