98 Volvo S40 T4 HELP ASAP!!

this sounds like the self adjusting tappets that i have in mine,they will make a noise for about 5 mins until they have set themselves,this is quite normal and should be expected.with regards to the info centre it sounds like a duff,although some of the displays wont actually appear unless you are moving.i don't know about the heat/cooler system but i would imagine you will find something on here using the search facility,the sparkplugs must be the genuine volvo ones for your engine(t4's are very fussy!)hope this of some help,mike

Okay thanks Mikey. I see my car has Bosch spark plugs in it, maybe thats why its struggling to start.. I hope so. When I got the car it had oil laying all over the tappet cover, around the coils, everywhere! I cant be that the oil when into the 2 coils somehow? I made a booking at the dealer for friday because the engine check light also came on. . .

Look at the time when I posted this thread Clan and then look at the other one. All done on Sunday, a full days work. :spcartman:

Strange thing happend today after driving the car to town and back, all the lights including the check light I told u about Clan, all went off again.. Maybe she sorted her problems out by herself. :)
