Yes. But I'm feeling adventurous. Anyway, rebuilding wont have to be done until June 2010, got a good year of usage ahead of me (hopefully) before I need to worry about doing a fresh install of the retail version. I was using a Hackintosh, but I got annoyed at the non-functionality of certain things, and rather than fix them, I decided to give Win7 a go.
Actually - Shyt!! Now that I think about it, I am using dual video cards, and one of them is pretty old (Pre G-Force NVidia) - wonder if I could get away with using an XP driver? Can you do that? Honestly don't even know - I've been on XP since it came out! (Oooh, I am sooo ready for a new OS!!)
I've been using and enjoying it. One thing though, although the RC officially expires in June 2010, for practical purposes it's useless after March 2010 when it will start rebooting itself every 2 hours as a gentle reminder that it's going to expire in June.
W7 here too. Loving as well. I had to use the legacy Firewire driver in order to get my RME FF800 to work... and that is on either the on board firewire and the TI card. I am looking forward to upgrading the essential VST FX (schwa and Stillwell can ya hear me:D) and trying that bit bridge thing... I'd love to see what a 64bit daw feels like with oodles of ramage. greetings .t
