Finding BPM and adjusting grid

Advertising

MessageAuthor

Hello all...sorry if this has been covered but couldn't really find what I was looking for in the archives I work with sampled audio loops...mostly recorded by myself on drums, keys, whatever, and I have always had a HELL of a time finding the approximate BPM and creating the grid so that I can cut and paste AUDIO files accordingly. Any one have any tricks to make this task easy? of course you all may suggest to just play to a click track, but this question mostly applies to archived drum sessions and whatnot. THANKS! p.s. also, if you change the BPM of the session, how can you get your MIDI or audio files to snap accordingly? OR can you even do that?

There was a recent thread discussing this topic... use Identify Beat and look through the recent threads. Rail
