I wouldnt worry if like mine its stuck in the cold position. A lot of people modify the airbox and take out the thermostat.

I would not be worried much about the thermostat,its more usefull in very cold climates.You should take care about the switch.My 780 Turbo wire harness fried completelly because of the same problem.I lived with the problem,but one day friend borrowed the car... And did cost over $2500 to fix the car.

HI, Might be the warm air intake? Was there a metal pipe connected to it coming from the exhaust manifold? If so them many people remove the pipe and seal the flap/vent in the air box to stop warm air getting into the air intake. It was designed to help warm up the engine quickly, particularly in cold climates (like Sweden) but is pretty irrelevant in places like the UK etc.. See the attached... Des. . . ;)
