I love the Genelec 1030a's. we have them and Yamahahaha NS-10'sx. I mix 90% on the NS-10's. Go figure. Hope this is helpful.

In two of your situations you have the rosetta going out to the masterlink, which is not possible. the rosetta is only an a/d converter and therefore does not have digital outs. If you want to avoid the whols bounce to disk scenario you will need a/d and d/a conversion. You could go with the psx-100 as was previously mentioned or get the rosetta (or similar) and the benchmark DAC-1 d/a converter which has been getting rave reviews everywhere I turn. I would personally go for the 001, unless you need a control surface, because since you're buying high-quality converters and preamps, the 002 would be kind of pointless. My suggestion would be: Great river pres (model depends on how many channels you want) Apogee Rosetta (love mine- got it new for 785) Digi 001 (get one used for around 500) Benchmark DAC-1 (650) into whatever monitors you like when testing them with all this equipment. While I personally haven't used the genelecs, I have heard many great things and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. -Be sure to budget in for quality cabling, and you didn't mention mics, so I figure you already have some. If not the Rode NTK is a wonderful mic for under 500 bucks.
