Automation...which parameter?

Guys, I was playing with Kontakt and wanted to automate an FX parameter. Could you please help me how can I determine the parameter (number) in the automation window that that's exactly the one I'm looking for? Thanks!

OK, watch out closely now ;) You need to have the Browser in Kontakt active. To do that, click on the BROWSE icon (to the left of MASTER and INFO icons above). Now that you have Browser active, go to the last tab, it's called Auto. You have two sub-tabs here, Host Automation and MIDI Automation. Naturally, we want Host Automation, so click on it. You have a list of 1024 empty parameters now. What you do now is this: you select one slot (let's say #000), and you DRAG it to the control (knob, fader) you want to automate. It will now be named propertly in Reaper's envelope screen! EDIT: damn, MN was faster! :D EDIT: Steindork, of course XD

Output effects cannot be automated. Only Group, Insert and Send FX can be automated.
