Please feedback on rough mix/Rock song

Seems a quite solid song.Drums are a but uninspiring in the verse even a little variety would help.Can't comment on the mix because as you say you are going to be working on that but it's not far off IMHO.

I agree with Sheppola. The only other hopefully constructive comment I have would be to make the guitars on the verse cut through more with a little eq. In those sparser parts the guitars and the harmonics of them should maybe "sparkle" more. If that makes any sense.

I think I see what you guys mean. I wasn't sure, but now that I put in the vocal parts, the guitars suddenly seemed a bit dull. I'll look for the sparkle ... Thanks!

OK, so here's another trial. I muted some of the mid-heavy guitars, compressed the snare, put more room on snare & vocs, took back the voc's volume a bit. This is a "premaster" (as far as one can speak of mastering at home). Anyway, I thinks it's got a whole lot of air now. What do you think? Cheers, M

I remember this song! Like the added (what)bells? The Vocals almost have a David Bowie feel. I have to agree about the drums,need to figure out how to find their spot in the mix. The voice really prints well. Really like the tune! Bardo
