Editing time within locators range

I am editing a song and will be removing an entire chorus.. I would like simply to define the range that I wish to remove (example bar 22 to bar 26) and then delete it so that the rest of the song moves back and joins up. (eg. the unwanted chorus is gone and evrything from bar 26 moves back to bar 22 as a result). This is of course possible in other sequencers. (eg: Cubase's "Delete time") And, to be able to select a range and then choose to select all items within that range with one edit command. (Something like Cubase's "Select in loop"). Also, when selecting multiple items using ALT R-click and drag, id it possible to NOT have the white locator markers also following the drag. This makes it very confusing. Otherwise, it's an outrageously good sequencer! Great work.

Thanks a lot! I'm pretty new to Reaper and it's only now that I'm using it on a serious project. It's great to have this response, rather than wading through the manual and missing stuff even then... yeah, I know I could have put in loads more of my own time in research before asking, but these mixes need to be finished about yesterday! I really appreciate your time.... I actually discovered the R-button drag by mistake 5 mins ago! In the user guide though it says: "Select groups of Items by holding down the Alt key, then right-clicking and dragging a marquee around the Items: [Alt]+Right-Click & Drag."
