...well, only in my dreams; and only if i wanted to. let's get to the point, i'm try to encode this dvd (duh!), and i see a ghost motion or effect, not just on the encoded file, put also on the dvd itself, i have never encounter this type of problem before, and i need help, i'm using tmpgenc v2.5 there should be a link for a picture to show you what my problem is, but if it doesn't work, (DAMN YOU! yahoo briefcase) it's like waiving your finger back & forth in front of your computer screen
it's caused by bad conversion of pal/ntsc. imho, there's nothing you can do about it. we already had a similar problem by some user on our forums (search the forums, you may search on my posts, just put avih at the 'search by user name' field). we could not find an automated solution for bad conversion, although imho, it's possible to build such a tool (none exists that i know of). cheers avih [edit] found the thread, for your pleasure ;) [/edit]
well, i'm done with that series, and was able to remove all the ghost perfectly at a cost (quality), and now i have something almost related; since i don't have a dvd player, i can't be sure, and the guides are too confusing, i watching this dvd on my computer and i see this ghost effect (viewing frame by frames), and was wondering if this will also be the same, if a was viewing it on a dvd player.

@ dani82 You were able to remove the ghosting completely?! did you have a PAL or NTSC DVD?! if PAL, impossible, you've gotta be kidding! Considering the second shot, if it's the french Chihiro release, forget it, nothing you can do, just blend deinterlace.
yes, i was able to remove to the ghost effect completely (almost), a couple of frames might have some ghost out of the each episode (maybe), it's a nstc dvd, it doesn't work for all dvds, and requires the uses of flaskmpeg (so, almost of you will say "screwed it") ...and it's the US releases, and i wanted to know if it was going to be the same viewing FROM the original dvd on a dvd player, instead of watching it on my pc. for those of you that's also doing/have "Spirit Away" it's a screenshot from the "beind the scenes" of "Spirited Away"

require flaskmpeg he says! :D Use AviSynth with the Decomb plugin to make Inverse Telecine for best results (the ghosting you showed us was because deinterlacing was enabled in PowerDVD, it's not on the DVD) BTW, you sure your Spirited Away DVD is not progressive? What do you see in DVD2AVI, FILM or NTSC? If it's at least 95% FILM (=progressive), you don't need IVTC in the first place, just enable Force Film in DVD2AVI, no further actions. Read the guides and the IVTC tutorial!
about the AviSynth thing, are you referring to the 1st picture or the 2nd picture; if the 2nd, so, only on my pc, i see. flask said the movie was progressive (film), but everything else was interlaced (nstc)
wait you can see dead people in your dreams? sounds like the occult view of the dream-world as the plane of existance where our energetic bodies reside temporarily after death ;o yay metaphysics
like i said "only if i wanted too" but never really wanted to; there 4 things that i know that can be done while asleep. 1. dream 2. astral project (haven't done that yet) 3. travel to the dream-scape [(very easy to do) basically it's the same as being awake] do whatever you want, cause nothing real, kill your own brother if you wanted to (there's a chance he might die, so not really recommended), or go beyond that, where i believe it's possible to actually see a ghost (if they actually exists) 4. (the most dangerous) leave your body, move around as if you awake, a pair-e-l world, things might be different, stay and have a new life; what's so dangerous, if you decide not to stay, you have to re-enter your body, and wake yourself up (literally), if you can't, probility a coma for the rest of your life. took me 3 minutes to wake up and that was hard. has anyone ever had the repeating dream, 7 times over? (it's where you think your awake, but your still dreaming)
