spkguitar thanks for your time and help! if its this one Update for Windows XP (KB896256), than no, if its the dual core amd hotfix, than yes i did... 2 things that i may have done or may have a little different than shane's 1) for some reason my motherboard tyan Tiger K8WE S2877ANRF-RS, did not have the same firwire connection that shane had, remember where shane had instruction on how not to connect the firewire cable so it wont fry the 002...will this board had 2 places for ports and each cable came and fits perfect into the firewire socket, so it did not look like shane's inside... the second thing is i think my friend who helped me put this pc togther installed the drivers from the tyan cd, i know we were supposed not do that, should i remove them and install from nvida site? or do i need to reinstall xp again? will this make a difference you think?i had the same bios settings as shane with the power now amd option off. spkguitar, to be honest with you i have been all over the internet the past 10 day with no luck tried every trick listed, no fix..again its not the digi002 because it worked great on the mac with the same firwire cable, so what will cause the pc think that the digi002 is sending the right signal at 48k 96k but not at 44 and 88k? that is the big question, and digi not being able to update the firmware, i think this is all related to one another, its like its a setting wherre the pc does not reconigze the frequencies 44 and 88k when past via the digi002 driver and digi 002...thanks again spk for your time and any other help or tips you may provide and to all other members that may help me out on this one, thanks!
